SITE MEETING

Our General Manager Phil will meet with you in person to further discuss your project. This will allow us to go though the questionnaire in more detail, ask further questions and document any important needs and requirements. At this meeting, please have any available ideas, sketches, concept of developed plans, even bring your architect if you have already engaged one. This way we can start to narrow down and create a pathway forward by discussing timelines, council requirements and general scope to move to the design phase.

DESIGN STAGE

If you already have working drawings you can skip to the next step. If you are not sure where to start we can recommend one of our trusted and reputable architects or building designers as well as other design based consultants i.e. interior design, landscape architect etc. we will work together as a team to create a design and plan that suits your budget and needs. Once you are happy with the plans, finishes and fixtures have been selected as well as a base level scope of work identified, we can progress to price the project.

PROJECT COSTINGS

We intend to give you a fixed price quote based on the complete set of design drawings and documents. It will give you a true and accurate representation of the build cost to avoid any nasty surprises later on. Items such as Prime Cost and Provisional Sums should be kept to a minimum. We understand that you might not know which features and fittings to choose so early in the building process. We do offer a service with access to our suppliers showrooms where you can select some or all of your projects fixtures and fittings before the build commences. For your benefit, our fixed price service will provide.

ACCEPTANCE, SIGN CONTRACTS AND PRE START

Upon acceptance of the quote, we will issue the relevant contracts ready to review and sign as well as evidence of all compulsory insurances that we must hold including the Environment, Health and Safety Plan. Also at this stage we will work with you on completing as many selections as possible to avoid any hold ups during construction. We will schedule an agreed start date to work on your dream home and also provide a detailed timeline for your project.

PROJECT CONSTRUCTION AND COMMUNICATION

Vamos (Spanish for Let’s Go). The most exciting part of the project begins. We will commence work on the agreed start date and we will schedule weekly site meetings throughout the build process. We will provide you with regular progress reports to let you know where we are up to and discuss any sign off on any variations, should they arise. Consistent communication is essential to a successful and stress free project. Throughout the build, we will use the 287 point Vamos Group quality checklist to guarantee your dream home meets the highest standards.

COMPLETION

Time for the handover and completion of your new dream home! Before you and your family move into your new home, we will organize a final building inspection with a Building Code of Australia certifier to ensure your project meets all codes and compliance. This will give you independent assurance that your home has been built to the highest standard. We will also have a team of professional cleaners come through the home to make sure it is sparkling clean before you move in. We will provide you with user manuals for all appliances, guarantees, warranties and subcontractor contact details. Once you have moved into your new home, we will schedule a post move in meeting to make sure you are happy and comfortable in your new dream home. We will address any issues or queries.

POST CONSTRUCTION CARE

We will follow up with you for the duration of the defect liability period and make sure you have the full support of our team. This will ensure you are getting the best value from being part of the Vamos family.
